Teachers of Ulugbek Palvanov
Pianist Ulugbek Palvanov, a native of Uzbekistan, began studying piano at the age of five. He graduated from the Republican Special Music Academic Lyceum named after V. A. Uspensky (RSMAL) – one of the leading music institutions in the country, renowned for producing outstanding performers.
His musical formation began in the class of the distinguished teacher Tamara Afanasyevna Popovich, who trained a generation of famous pianists, including Alexei Sultanov, Bekzod Abduraimov, Evgeny Mursky, and Lola Astanova.
Continuing to refine his performance skills, Palvanov studied under Anatoly Markovich Gekkelman and Natalia Sergeyevna Zinzadze — both students of the legendary Heinrich Neuhaus, whose teaching tradition had a profound influence on 20th-century piano art.
He then continued his education at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where his artistic development was guided by Professor Lev Naumov, one of the most distinguished representatives of the Neuhaus School.
Since 1997, Ulugbek Palvanov has studied at the Berlin University of the Arts (Universität der Künste Berlin) – first with Professor Klaus Bässler, and later with Professor Klaus Hellwig. This period marked an important stage in his professional growth and international career.
